Sindh Police Jobs 2026 have reopened under a special category that doesn’t work like a typical recruitment drive: this round is reserved entirely for the legal heirs of Shaheed (martyred), deceased, and permanently invalidated or incapacitated Sindh Police employees. Four posts are covered across two separate addendums, Head Constable (Wireless Operator, BPS-09), Police Constable (BPS-07), Driver Police Constable (BPS-07), and Assistant Sub-Inspector (BPS-11) with a combined total of well over 3,400 reserved seats across Sindh’s police ranges.

If you’re not the legal heir of a Shaheed, deceased, or permanently invalidated/incapacitated Sindh Police employee, this particular recruitment isn’t open to you, regardless of your own qualifications. That’s worth stating plainly upfront, because the eligibility criteria here run entirely on a different track from standard merit-based police recruitment.

Why This Recruitment Looks Different From a Normal Police Ad

To understand why this notice reads the way it does, it helps to know the backstory. The original advertisements for these posts were published back on 28 April 2024. Recruitment against the Deceased Quota specifically was then stopped following a Supreme Court of Pakistan judgment dated 26 September 2024, issued in Civil Petition No. 3390 of 2021, and formalized through an office letter dated 1 November 2024.

Following a subsequent notification from the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department (Regulation Wing), Government of Sindh, dated 30 April 2026, Sindh Police is now inviting fresh applications from eligible legal heirs under updated criteria. If you’d applied under the original 2024 advertisement, don’t assume your old application automatically carries forward. You need to submit again under this addendum.

Who Can Actually Apply

Eligibility here isn’t about your own qualifications first; it’s about your relationship to a deceased, martyred, or incapacitated police employee. Two categories of legal heirs are eligible.

Legal heirs of deceased or permanently incapacitated police employees who died, were permanently invalidated, or incapacitated on or before 26 September 2024, and who hold domicile of Sindh Province, are eligible under this criteria. This cut-off date comes directly from the Supreme Court judgment referenced above, so it’s not an arbitrary date the department picked.

Legal heirs of Shaheed police employees, those who attained martyrdom up to the closing date for submission of applications, are eligible under the Shaheed Quota, provided they hold domicile of the concerned Range of Sindh Province.

A few additional conditions narrow this further, and they’re easy to miss if you skim

• A second claim for recruitment against the Shaheed Quota is only entertained for legal heirs whose father, brother, or husband embraced shahadat after the promulgation of the Shaheed Act-2014, meaning after 11 June 2014.
• If your father or mother died or was invalidated before 2 September 2002, you are not entitled to apply against the Deceased/Invalidated/Incapacitated Quota at all.
• If your father or mother died or was invalidated on or after 16 September 2014, you’re expected to have applied within two years of that death or invalidation. If you’re well outside that two-year window, it’s worth checking directly with the department whether you still qualify under this specific advertisement.

Given how many date conditions are stacked here, it’s genuinely worth working out your own eligibility on paper, with the actual dates involved, before you invest time preparing documents.

The reserved posts for these three ranks have been revised since the original 2024 advertisement. Here’s the current, updated range-wise breakdown:

The Head Constable (Wireless Operator) quota is fixed at 11 posts across the whole province rather than being broken down range-by-range in this notice, which is why it appears as a single total rather than a per-range figure. Note that the Sukkur Range figures reflect an adjustment from the original 2024 numbers, since this is the revised table published as part of this addendum, not the original one.

If you compare this against the originally advertised ASI numbers from 2024 (which totaled 152 posts across five ranges, including SBA Range), you’ll notice the current total is lower and SBA Range doesn’t appear in this updated table at all. Go by the numbers in this current addendum rather than the original 2024 figures.

Qualification and Eligibility by Post

Head Constable (Wireless Operator, BPS-09) requires Intermediate qualification from a recognized Board of Intermediate Education.

Police Constable (BPS-07) requires Matric from a recognized Board of Secondary Education.

Driver Police Constable (BPS-07) also requires Matric from a recognized Board of Secondary Education, but with an additional and fairly specific condition: you must hold a valid Motor Car Driving License as of the closing date of the application. If you don’t yet hold an LTV (Light Transport Vehicle) license, you’re not disqualified outright, the notice allows selected candidates to obtain their LTV license within their first three years of probation. Still, having it in hand before you apply only strengthens your position.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (BPS-11) sits at a different qualification tier entirely: Graduation, 2nd Division, from a recognized University, a university degree, not just Matric or Intermediate, reflecting the higher pay scale and supervisory nature of the post.

Physical Standards Across All Four Posts

Physical requirements are largely consistent across Head Constable, Police Constable, Driver Police Constable, and ASI, with one meaningful difference in the endurance test for Driver Police Constable.

For height, male candidates need a minimum of 5 feet 5 inches, with a minimum chest measurement of 33 inches and an expansion allowance of 1.5 inches. Female candidates need a minimum height of 5 feet, along with sound health.

For the endurance test, male candidates applying for Head Constable, Police Constable, and ASI need to complete a 1,600-meter run in 8 minutes, while female candidates need to complete an 800-meter walk in 14 minutes. Driver Police Constable candidates get a slightly longer window — male candidates have 10 minutes rather than 8 for the same 1,600-meter run, likely in recognition that driving-focused recruits may not train for running endurance the same way general duty candidates do. Female candidates applying for DPC still have the standard 14-minute, 800-meter walk requirement.

Age Limits

For Head Constable, Police Constable, and Driver Police Constable, the age window is 18 to 28 years, calculated as of the last date of submission of online applications. For Assistant Sub-Inspector, the window is slightly narrower at the start: 21 to 28 years, reflecting the higher qualification bar for the post.

Across all four posts, the notice is direct: no relaxation in upper age limit will be granted, regardless of individual circumstances. Both addendums confirm the age (and the overall application deadline) should be calculated against 15 October 2026 treat this as your fixed reference date for age eligibility.

How to Apply for Head Constable, Police Constable & Driver Police Constable

This is where the two addendums genuinely diverge, so pay attention to which post you’re applying for.

For HC, PC, and DPC, there’s no online application portal. Instead, download the application form from www.sindhpolice.gov.pk, complete it, and attach attested copies of the following: CNIC, Domicile, PRC/Form-D, four recent photographs, academic documents, the Death Certificate, Obituary and Heirship Certificate of the deceased/Shaheed employee, the order for permanently invalidated or incapacitated employees (for the Invalidated quota only), a Declaration of Shaheed status, the FIR, the Financial Compensation order (for Shaheed Quota only), and an Affidavit from the spouse/widow and other legal heirs of the Shaheed or deceased employee.

This complete package needs to reach the Central Police Office (CPO), I.I. Chundrigar Road, Lalazar, Karachi, and it has to go through registered post or courier service specifically the notice doesn’t mention hand delivery or email as accepted alternatives.

How to Apply for Assistant Sub-Inspector

ASI applications follow a completely different, fully online process. Registration and application must be completed through the official STS (SIBA Testing Services) candidate portal at https://apply.sts.net.pk.

Once you’ve completed the online application, you’ll be able to download a system-generated challan for Rs. 1,500 (non-refundable). You can pay this at any ABL Bank Ltd. branch, through the MyABL app, or via the 1Link/1Bill reference number through the internet banking portal of any 1Bill-linked bank.

You’ll also need to upload your documents directly through the portal rather than mailing them: CNIC (front and back), Domicile, PRC/Form-D, one recent photograph, academic documents, Death Certificate, Obituary and Heirship Certificate, the order for permanently invalidated/incapacitated employees where applicable, Declaration of Shaheed status, FIR, Financial Compensation order (Shaheed Quota only), and the Affidavit from spouse/widow and other legal heirs.
